Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer Technician is responsible for producing accurate, cost-effective structural design deliverables that support ship construction using functional design documentation and engineering requirements.

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models using ShipConstructor and other applicable structural design software
• Generate accurate 2D production drawings and construction deliverables from 3D models and engineering documentation
• Process structural parts, including nesting activities, to support fabrication and production requirements
• Apply structural design knowledge to develop quality construction deliverables and resolve production-related design issues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Domestic travel may be required. The Senior Engineer Technician assists in determining technical requirements, meeting project schedules, and resolving production-related design issues within the field of competence.
