Position Description
The FLRAA PO is responsible for development, fielding and comprehensive life cycle management of the Army's newest aircraft the MV-75 Cheyenne II. The PO manages the ACAT 1 phase of acquisition, development, production, modification, recapitalization, sustainment, and foreign military sales.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert for the FLRAA PO.
- Provide in-depth technical expertise on all major aircraft systems and subsystems including: Airframe, Avionics, Survivability systems, Flight controls, Aeromechanics, and Propulsion.
- Develop and deliver system derivative program documentation, including: Acquisition strategies, draft Statements of Work (SOWs), Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Engineering drawings and specifications, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Cost estimates and programmatic reports.
- Support the development and application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in ACAT 1 aviation programs.
- Apply the principles of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to support system interoperability and lifecycle sustainment.
- Collaborate across multi-functional teams, providing technical input, risk analysis, and recommendations for system design and lifecycle management.
- Effectively manage assigned responsibilities independently while ensuring quality and timely results.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics.
- Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance.
- Average of 15 years of technical experience with acquisitions for aviation platforms.
- Demonstrated experience supporting PAE Aviation; Previous experience in the FLRAA.PO is highly desired.
- Comprehensive understanding of ACAT 1 aviation program technical requirements, processes, and system acquisition lifecycle.
- Must have experience with MBSE in advanced aviation applications.
- Must have experience of MOSA principles in aviation system design and integration.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage priorities across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse group of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with AI enhancements that streamline tasks.
