Senior Engineer, Platform Services

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineer, Platform Services to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space. This role will shape the strategy and technical foundation for shared platform services that support product teams across the business. You will partner closely with engineering and product leadership to improve developer experience, strengthen reliability, and enable more efficient integration across the organization. The position also focuses on practical AI adoption in day-to-day workflows, with an emphasis on building tools and patterns that create measurable impact. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually Responsibilities Define and implement the strategy for unifying the product suite into shared services Act as the primary technical resource for product teams integrating platform services Develop agent-ready infrastructure, including MCP integrations and automation tools Enhance developer experience by iterating on tooling and processes based on user feedback Assess and design patterns for embedding AI tools into daily workflows Close the feedback loop to ensure strong integration and service reliability Support the Principal Engineering Group in translating architectural vision into practical solutions Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering Proven experience in agentic development with hands-on production workflows Strong understanding of technical strategies for platform unification Demonstrated ability to define problems before solutions and ship iteratively Familiarity with CLI-native development environments is mandatory Excellent communication skills for cross-team interactions Proven ownership mentality with a focus on reliability and user impact Benefits Significant ownership and visibility within the organization Opportunity to work on genuinely impactful and unsolved problems Access to meaningful equity participation Supportive environment for organizational investments in AI Direct collaboration with engineering and product leadership Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
