Senior Engineer, Platform Analytics

Responsibilities

• Build and operate reliable data pipelines for event and entity ingestion into Snowflake
• Create trustworthy, conformed datasets by curating and modeling source-system data
• Monitor and optimize production performance, reliability, and cost management
• Contribute to evolving the platform's architecture with scale and design recommendations
• Lead the implementation, testing, and deployment phases of the development lifecycle
• Mentor junior engineers and establish team coding standards and practices
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate the development and testing processes

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or 6+ years with an advanced degree
• Strong experience in designing and delivering data warehouses and analytical datasets
• Proficient in SQL development and performance tuning on analytical databases like Snowflake
• Familiarity with streaming data processing tools such as Kafka and CDC ingestion
• Expertise in dimensional data modeling and version control for ELT workflows, with tools like dbt
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow for managing data pipelines
• Skilled in using AI coding tools effectively in software engineering
