Accountabilities
- Design and implement security solutions that support secure software development, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise identity management.
- Partner with engineering teams to design secure architectures and technical solutions aligned with security best practices.
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, platform tooling, and application onboarding processes.
- Develop reusable security patterns and provide technical guidance to support secure development practices.
- Own and enhance application onboarding, identity integration, and access management processes.
- Translate security requirements into practical, scalable, and automated engineering solutions.
- Design and maintain identity and access management capabilities across cloud and SaaS environments.
- Implement and improve security automation, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Collaborate with development teams while maintaining security ownership and accountability.
- Support threat modeling activities and convert security findings into actionable engineering improvements.
- Contribute to the evolution of cloud security, DevSecOps, and zero trust initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in security engineering, identity management, and DevSecOps within modern cloud environments.
- Strong technical depth, automation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- 5-8+ years of hands-on security engineering experience focused on IAM, DevSecOps, and cloud security practices.
- Proven experience administering and engineering identity solutions, including Okta Identity Cloud, Identity Governance, Workflows, application onboarding, lifecycle management, and policy enforcement.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including identity, access controls, and resource governance.
- Working knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud Platform in multi-cloud environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes security, including workload identity, access controls, and platform security considerations.
- Experience with security monitoring tools such as Splunk Cloud, including dashboards, alerts, and detection logic.
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization standards including OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation, integrations, and operational tooling.
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- Knowledge of RBAC and ABAC models across cloud and SaaS platforms.
- Experience conducting threat modeling using approaches such as STRIDE or attack trees.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and explain complex security concepts clearly.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML platforms, AI-enabled applications, secrets management, zero trust architecture, or related security technologies.
- Relevant security or identity certifications are a plus.
