Senior Engineer – Electronics

Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of underwater maritime electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Design and implement custom PCBs, particularly for prototype R&D systems.
• Design mixed-signal PCBs with ADCs & DACs, microcontrollers, DC/DC converters, digital communications protocols (RS232/RS422, I2C, I2S, SPI, McBSP), high speed signaling, signal conditioning, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, energy storage and power management, and interfacing to embedded microprocessors.
• Lay out boards and manage vendors providing layout services.
• Participate in laboratory experience with power supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems, including integration and testing of PCBs, electronics components, and systems.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve technical and logistical problems.

Required Skills and Attributes

• A BS, MS, or PhD degree in electrical engineering with a focus in analog and digital circuit design.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing custom PCBs, preferably for prototype R&D systems.
• Experience designing mixed-signal PCBs with ADCs & DACs, microcontrollers, DC/DC converters, digital communications protocols (RS232/RS422, I2C, I2S, SPI, McBSP), high speed signaling, signal conditioning, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, energy storage and power management, and interfacing to embedded microprocessors.
• Experience laying out boards and/or managing vendors that provide layout services.
• Laboratory experience with power supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems, including experience with integration and testing of PCBs, electronics components, and systems.

This position is located in Groton, CT with full relocation provided. The position can also be based out of our Concord, MA office.
