Senior Engineer - Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Executive – Electrical with 4–6 years of relevant experience to oversee electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and electrical equipment while ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, panels, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
• Monitor and maintain Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including battery banks, Battery Management Systems (BMS), PCS/Inverters, and related electrical components.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
• Analyze electrical faults and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for maintenance activities and project execution.
• Prepare maintenance reports, equipment logs, and technical documentation.
• Support installation, commissioning, testing, and performance optimization of electrical systems.
• Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
• Train technicians and supervise maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with electrical distribution systems, HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.

Skills

• Experience in renewable energy, solar plants, or battery energy storage projects.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLC systems, and electrical monitoring systems.
• Exposure to electrical testing instruments and commissioning activities.
