Senior Engineer, Developer Platforms and Generative AI

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineer, Developer Platforms and Generative AI to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will help shape the engineering experience by building GenAI-enabled tools and internal platform capabilities that improve developer productivity. The successful candidate will design and run infrastructure for agentic workflows, with a strong emphasis on guardrails, observability, and safe AI usage. This position also partners closely with engineers and managers to create practical software solutions that support reliable delivery and operational excellence. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Design and build GenAI-powered developer tooling and integrations Build and run the GenAI developer platform infrastructure Own guardrails and observability for agentic workflows with integration platforms Collaborate with engineers and managers to design fitting software solutions Participate in limited on-call responsibilities as scheduled Demonstrate commitment to the ethics and safety of AI usage Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience 2+ years focused on improving developer workflows and internal platform capabilities Proven experience designing and building cloud-native applications, primarily using Golang Hands-on experience with GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor Preferred: 3+ years managing and deploying AWS resources Preferred: 2+ years managing Kubernetes workloads Preferred: Experience in prompt engineering or AI-powered tool development Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits Flexible Spending Accounts (F.S.A.s) Company-matching 401(k) plan Employee stock purchase plan Paid vacation and sick days Paid parental leave Tuition reimbursement and professional development programs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
