About the role
The CoreUX team is dedicated to making W&B feel like a single, polished product. We drive the evolution of shared building blocks, core user journeys, and universal app surfaces to ensure consistency and accessibility at scale. With a focus on long-term ownership and excellence, the team ensures our application remains fast to build within, easy to use, and impactful across the entire product surface area.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of core UI components, patterns, and behaviors across all product areas, helping to reduce fragmentation and external dependency reliance.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, PMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on component APIs, UX consistency, and accessibility best practices (WCAG).
- Set and uphold high standards for usability, code quality, and technical excellence, ensuring our "blueprints" enable the wider team to build scalable and user-friendly experiences.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years deeply focused on modern JavaScript frameworks (specifically React.js).
- You are an expert in TypeScript and component architecture, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, production-grade features.
- You can clarify vague requirements, articulate technical tradeoffs to non-technical partners, and align teams on complex decisions.
- You care deeply about usability, accessibility, and reliability and have successfully shipped UI/UX improvements that directly enhanced the customer experience.
- You excel at cross-functional collaboration, working lock-step with PMs and designers to iterate quickly and deliver intuitive high-quality interfaces.
Qualifications
- You have a background in design systems or component libraries, with an eye for scalable, reusable UI patterns.
- You are familiar with navigation and information architecture design for complex applications.
- You have exposure to Accessibility and Web best practices (WCAG).
- You have knowledge of telemetry, analytics, and experimentation frameworks to measure and improve user experience.

Benefits
- Base pay ranging from $139,000 - $204,000, with the starting salary determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Pay
The base pay for this position ranges from $139,000 - $204,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation.
