Senior Engineer, Back-End (Security Controls)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineer, Back-End (Security Controls) to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will focus on building and maintaining the backend systems that power security control capabilities within a fast-moving technology environment. You will design scalable data-processing workflows, support reliable integrations with external security platforms, and help ensure component communication is efficient and well-structured. The position will partner closely with frontend teams and other technical stakeholders to deliver clear, usable data and a strong end-to-end product experience. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $199,750 – $270,250 annually Responsibilities Design and build dedicated normalizers for EDR vendors while ensuring they remain reliable as APIs change Develop core product features using ETL and GraphQL for effective data processing Design and implement GraphQL backend APIs for component communication Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for data processing and analytics Collaborate with frontend teams to enhance the user experience through clear data presentation Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and similar technologies Deep experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations at scale Hands-on familiarity with EDR platforms and their use in SOC teams Expert proficiency in SQL Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Strong technical documentation and mentoring abilities Benefits Inclusive culture that values diversity and promotes teamwork Career development opportunities within a dynamic, growing team Innovative work environment encouraging creativity and collaboration Flexible hybrid & remote work models based on role and location Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and families Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
