About the Role
Technical responsibility for material requisitions, calculations, and engineering deliverables (from technical specifications to on-site delivery) for civil site development and infrastructure, including site preparation, erosion control, rough grading, finish grading, drainage works through underground or surface networks, pond/containment design, flood mitigation, roadways, railways, and transportation.
Responsibilities
- Ensures timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications, requisitions, CN, stress reports, and engineering deliverables in coordination with other disciplines.
- Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by external parties/suppliers.
- Ensures proper communication with vendors and technical follow-up of orders.
- Adheres to project targets and priorities such as technical robustness, budget, and schedule.
- Proposes alternatives for cost and schedule savings, as well as energy savings in line with project targets.
- Ensures timely reporting on engineering/requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
- Meets quality and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) objectives of the project.
- Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and project support functions such as procurement and planning.
- Supports more junior engineering employees.
- For small requisitions or standard equipment, acts as project manager responsible for technical, contractual, expediting, and inspection with spot support from project/procurement.

- Overall responsibility for engineering, contractual, and quality control surveillance for civil site development and infrastructure works.
Requirements
- Engineering degree.
- 5 to 12 years of experience in design and execution of projects.
- Familiarity with all technical aspects of the discipline and experience in most of them.
- Construction experience on site.
- Fluency in professional English.
- Professional Engineering registration in Texas and/or Louisiana or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
- Proficiency in software such as Autodesk InfoWorks ICM, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA), or EPA SWMM.
