Senior Engineer

Job Summary Our client, a leading travel and hospitality provider, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team! This is a 4-month contract position located in Phoenix, AZ, requiring onsite work three days per week. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise software solutionsDevelop backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, GraphQL, NestJS, and PrismaBuild responsive and modern user interfaces using Angular, HTML5, CSS, and SASSDevelop and maintain APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deploy new featuresSupport application performance, observability, and reliability using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kafka, Dynatrace, and LogDNAMentor junior engineers while contributing to engineering best practices and continuous improvementRequired Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)9+ years of software engineering experience designing and developing enterprise applications in production environments5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular5+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications with Node.js and TypeScript5+ years of experience working with MongoDBExperience building scalable RESTful APIs and distributed applicationsExperience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kafka, or containerized cloud environmentsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a collaborative Agile environmentPreferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fieldExperience with GraphQL and Apollo GraphQLExperience developing applications using NestJSExperience using Prisma ORMExperience with Cypress, K6, or automated testing frameworksExperience with Dynatrace or LogDNA monitoring toolsAirline industry experienceKey Competencies & BehaviorsFull Stack Software EngineeringTechnical Leadership & MentorshipCross-Functional CollaborationAnalytical Problem SolvingContinuous Learning & InnovationWork EnvironmentLocation: Phoenix, AZHybrid: Onsite three days per weekCandidates must be willing to attend the final interview onsite.Please note that this interview process includes multiple technical coding assessments.Candidates should have recent hands-on development experience and be comfortable participating in live technical evaluations.Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $60.00/hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
