Senior Engineer

About the role

K&A Power Group is seeking a Senior Engineer, DER Interconnections to join their team in Oakbrook, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects in the energy and utility sectors, contributing to dynamic, people-focused teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system load flow, stability, and transient studies, develop power system dynamic models, and understand power system operation and controls.
• Contribute to multiple project teams to perform technical analysis of electric power systems.
• Prepare proposals based on customer needs and manage contracts to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Identify and cultivate new customers and business opportunities, lead proposal preparation, and make customer presentations.
• Compile and document project findings and deliverables.
• Actively participate in a collaborative environment where teamwork, quality, customer service, and innovation are valued.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in the electrical engineering industry.
• Experience applying utility power system studies, power system planning, power systems protection engineering, circuit theory, dynamic or transient simulations, and NEC compliance.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $118,040, considering various factors including technical ability, experience, and related skillsets.
