About the role
DCS is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the NSWCDD B30 Electronic Warfare and Spectrum Operations (EWSO) mission. This position will lead systems engineering activities for Navy EW and combat systems, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, modeling and simulation, integration, test, and certification. The role is mission‑driven, helping Navy warfighters detect, assess, and respond to emerging threats. Hiring is dependent on the successful award of the contract; offer and start date are subject to change based on the final award decision.
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering activities for Navy EW and combat systems, covering requirements, architecture, interfaces, modeling and simulation, integration, test, and certification.
- Develop, design, integrate, maintain, and test Electronic Warfare systems for the Navy/Marine Corps.
- Model and simulate related threats, EW systems, and engagement methodologies/kill chains.
- Perform combat system integration and develop system architectures.
- Conduct system trade studies and generate functional requirements.
- Define, trace, verify, and generate system performance specifications, system architecture (functional, physical, behavioral), and system interfaces.
- Apply systems engineering processes to weapon systems requirements, concept development, design/engineering, integration, test, and certification (including safety and system certification).
- Utilize model‑based systems engineering tools such as Magic Draw/Cameo and DOORS® for requirements management and simulation development.
- Work with military standards/instructions, interface development, architectures, states & modes, functional flow diagrams, and engagement sequencing.
- Employ Agile methodology throughout development cycles.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship (required due to sensitivity of customer‑related requirements).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in electrical engineering, engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or physical science.
