A strong background in injection molding related to part design, tooling, processing, materials and secondary manufacturing operations, is required. Essential Responsibilities And Duties Successfully manage and execute engineering, innovation and development projectsCollaborate with applicable teams to define project scopeDetermine project objectives, create and maintain timelines, outline project requirements, assign tasks, and oversee progressEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, with all deliverables satisfiedEstablish and lead relationships with customers from a technical and design perspectiveLead design reviews with vendors, customers and Amcor plantsDemonstrate strong subject matter expertise specific to injection molding projectsReview and / or initiate new business opportunities, primarily related to injection moldingSpecify and quote injection equipment and toolingWork with customers and internal resources to ensure optimized part design for injection moldingInterface with operations to ensure product, tooling and manufacturing aspects satisfy operational requirementsWork with operations to develop foundational processesParticipate in troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to product, process, deliverables, timing and manufacturingWork with applicable teams to successfully deliver products for plant handoffTrain and empower others and provide guidance to team membersMaintain current knowledge of technical innovations through research, conferences, training, and industry contacts Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalentRequires 6-8 years of relevant engineering and injection molding experienceExperience in small-part injection molding with a preference towards manufacturing pharmaceutical and medical device products, child-resistant closures, triggers, sprayers, applicators, and secondary operations such as decoration, assembly, etc.Capable of process optimization using scientific molding principlesRequires the ability to explain the implications of engineering work.Travel 20% Competencies Amcor Leadership Framework Competencies Core Competencies Customer FocusLearning on the FlyInterpersonal SavvyDrive for Results 3-5 Applicable ALF Competencies Functional/Technical SkillsInfluencing OthersPriority SettingCommand Skills Relationships Amcor Rigids Global R&DInternal cross functional, including Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Innovation, and OperationsExternal Customers, Suppliers and Vendors.
