Senior Engagement Manager, AWS ProServe
About the role
The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role requires combining technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
Contributing to technical documentation and define documentation standards
Requirements
5+ years of cloud computing experience
Bachelor's degree in STEM field
2+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (like Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale experience
5+ years of leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements experience
Experience in project management of technical programs
Qualifications
Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2)
AWS certification
Experience with Agile and project management toolsets like Jira, Rally, VersionOne or Taiga
Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
Skills
Strong technology and program/project management experience
Ability to validate technical solutions against business goals
Recognition of when additional technical evaluation is needed
Management and leadership capabilities to execute project plans
Proactive risk identification and management
Issue resolution and escalation when necessary
Drive projects to successful completion, exceeding customer expectations

Pay
Base salary range: $153,600.00 - $207,700.00 USD annually
