Senior Employment Counsel

Responsibilities

• Advises the team on all employment legal matters in assigned business unit(s), covering the entirety of the employment lifecycle from recruiting to separation
• Serves as strategic legal partner for assigned centralized subject matters
• Represents Intuit in employment claims, managing outside litigation counsel as needed
• Supports and/or leads special projects and initiatives as needs arise
• Delivers clear, practical, and business-oriented advice to enable smart risk-taking
• Pairs closely with Employment Legal team members to drive consistency, share expertise, and deliver coordinated support across client groups
• Buils strong cross-functional partnerships and influences senior stakeholders
• Uses AI responsibly and proficiently to accelerate work and scale

Qualifications

• Significant experience advising on complex global workforce issues
• In-house experience preferred
• Strong employment litigation background
• Comfort using generative AI tools and a willingness to adopt and champion responsible AI practices within the Legal function
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others in a team environment
• Able to serve as a strategic advisor and influence successful outcomes with minimal supervision
• Excellent in-house judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
• Clear and concise communicator, with experience interfacing with senior executives
• JD and active bar membership (California preferred)
• Strong personal ethical code and integrity; deep respect for privacy and confidentiality
