Under senior director leadership, lead, manage, plan, produce, implement, and analyze internal and external communications strategies and tactics for projects, programs, and services related to the VSP Vision employee experience and employment branding.

About the role

  • Develop and drive highest-risk, highest-opportunity employee experience and communication strategies, collaborating with partners across the enterprise to achieve stated objectives and goals.
  • Work closely with executive leaders and support staff to prioritize holistic employee experience and communication programs, including employee engagement, enablement, recognition, and belonging.
  • Collaborate with the Organizational Effectiveness team on the Employee Listening Strategy and other initiatives, uncovering actionable insights to improve the employee experience.
  • Serve as the senior partner for internal communications and employee experience, accountable for developing, designing, and executing complex and confidential plans.
  • Identify business opportunities and manage major initiatives informed by research and analysis of trends to understand evolving employee expectations.
  • Design and deploy employee email campaigns in partnership with senior leadership, HRIS, and enterprise business partners.
  • Manage consultant resources or partner teams, recommending approaches and assessing resource requirements for success.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align employment branding opportunities, including workplace awards, with the company’s employment brand.
  • Leverage listening strategy data and industry trends to develop employment branding and engagement standards, coordinating brand-building communication programs.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) to senior leaders, project teams, and communication managers, advocating for best practices in internal communications and change management.
  • Provide oversight to ensure strategic alignment, priorities, processes, and timelines are met.
  • Develop innovative processes and workflows to drive operational efficiency, excellence, and ROI on communication tools, vendors, and systems; manage applicable budgets.
  • May lead functional teams and/or projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Eight years of experience in internal communications and change management, including work across various mediums and customized content for diverse employee audiences.
  • Eight or more years of demonstrated program management and leadership experience, with the ability to recommend strategic direction and influence communication.
  • Skill in effectively using a variety of communication mediums and customizing content for targeted audiences.
  • Ability to research, present, and recommend creative employee experience proposals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, plan strategically, and adapt to frequent change.
  • Superior analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, presentation, organization, and planning skills.
  • Ability to write clear, complete, and accessible documentation and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management to foster collaboration among business partners and coordinate internal/external resources.
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in job duties.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, employment branding platforms, and desktop publishing applications.
  • For remote or hybrid roles, must demonstrate high engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings.

Pay

Salary range: $84,000.00 – $141,750.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
