Senior Emergency Trauma Tech - ED - Days - FT - Orange

About the role

The Senior Trauma Tech coordinates and performs a broad range of technical duties supporting patient care in ED services to facilitate patient flow. Duties include assisting with patient triage, obtaining vital signs and specimens, assisting physicians with cast, splint, and wound care, providing support during exams, assisting with hygiene, elimination, and comfort measures, and preparing patients for transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient triage
• Obtain vital signs and specimens
• Assist physicians with cast, splint, and wound care
• Provide support during physician exams
• Absorb and prepare patients for transport
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, perform quality control, and troubleshoot equipment

Requirements

• Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of related experience as an Emergency/Trauma Technician
• EMT and/or Paramedic license preferred

Qualifications

• Bilingual skill, either Spanish or Vietnamese, to communicate effectively with patients and families

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
