Brief Overview

BAE Systems seeks creative, innovative problem solvers with prior embedded software engineering experience to design and develop innovative security solutions on the most complex processors. This role involves developing embedded software for security solutions on embedded processors and requires a bachelor’s degree plus 8 or more years of work experience.

Candidates should be capable of working in a multi-discipline team environment to design and implement innovative protection schemes with rapidly evolving technologies used in various applications throughout the company.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement security architectures on complex processors based on requirements from your analysis of adversary threats and proposed countermeasures.
  • Implement and test embedded software according to the guidance provided by the U.S. Government.
  • Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) technologies.
  • Provide our customers with sophisticated, defense-in-depth security solutions.
  • Work with NIST cryptographic algorithms.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 8 or more years of work experience.
  • Experience working at the driver, Operating System (OS) and/or Board Support Package (BSP) level.
  • Defining embedded software architectures.
  • Integrating software on complex processors.
  • Technical leadership of a software development Team.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Cryptographic algorithm implementation.
  • Configuring security features of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) S-SOTA components.
  • Embedded software development on complex processors.
  • Applying secure coding practices, securing operating systems, and virtualization.
  • Implementing and configuring security protocols.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Experience with RF and EW systems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145049 - $246584. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
