Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Job Purpose
A Senior Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for leading software development projects, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring code quality. They also mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Their role involves a mix of technical expertise and leadership to drive the development of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Support embedded software development and testing for agricultural control systems
- Collaborate with guidance and control teams to solve complex navigation and controls challenges
- Work with Linux embedded systems, C++, and sensor integration to support autonomy and precision features
- Research, write, develop, test, and evaluate embedded software programs
- Facilitate deployment and integration of embedded software with hardware platforms
- Assess feasibility and application of new or enhanced integration between hardware and software
- Create and update documentation for software design and project phases
- Collaborate with external customers and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and solve issues
- Develop and integrate embedded software functionalities while ensuring compliance with ISO 11783 (ISOBUS) standards
- Perform system-level debugging, issue investigation, and root-cause analysis of embedded control systems in both laboratory and field environments
- Support software release activities, feature verification, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
Experience Required
Experienced engineer with 5+ years of career experience, with Bachelor’s degree. 3+ years experience with Master’s degree. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Capable of defining appropriate approaches and solutions. Furthers knowledge of profession through continued education and/or seeking or providing mentorship.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $106,725.00 - $163,645.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
