In this role, you will design and develop control algorithms for next-generation consumer and commercial brewer platforms. You will work across embedded software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to improve product performance, reliability, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and implement embedded control algorithms focused on thermal and fluid systems (heaters, pumps, valves, sensors, flow control).
  • Develop and maintain embedded software for consumer and commercial brewer products.
  • Build and maintain developer/test tools for diagnostics, scripting, flashing, data logging, and validation.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and performance engineering teams to define system requirements and resolve integration challenges.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development best practices.
  • Support systems engineering activities including system decomposition, validation planning, failure analysis, and structured experimentation.
  • Troubleshoot field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous product improvements.
  • Contribute to product quality, cost optimization, and platform scalability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong experience with embedded systems software development and control algorithm implementation.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with SDLC tools including source control, debugging tools, and compilers.
  • Knowledge of feedback, feed-forward, and model-based control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with thermal/fluid control components such as heaters, pumps, valves, flow meters, and sensors.
  • Experience with testing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and problem-solving methodologies such as DOE, RCA, Six Sigma, A3, or 8D.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
