Senior Electronics Technician
Impact and Opportunity
Captures planning, development, and validation of new product opportunities within the Electronics Competency Center aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensures prototypes are built within requirements and time frames accepted
- Maintains correct calibration and maintenance of equipment and the working area
- Creates and maintains prototype data according to procedures
- Comments/input on prototype builds to requestors
- Improves existing prototype processes to enhance customer satisfaction
- Ensures equipment use complies with procedures and is correctly calibrated and maintained
- Guarantees functional and safe prototypes
- Attends and supports prototype meetings
- Maintains standard materials in the Electronics Lab
- Obtains/acquires quotes for component and system requisitions, manages sourcing, purchasing, receiving, inspecting goods, and documenting all steps in the process
- Processes purchasing requests for materials, parts, and services
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent technical experience
- 1-3 years experience as a Technician
Nice to Know
- Travel: Up to 10% of time may be required to travel domestically and internationally to conduct business
- Leadership Responsibilities: Guides activities of Junior team members and/or interns
