About the Company
As an essential part of the R&E Team, the Sr. Electronics Technician II is a leadership position in the Electronics Lab, responsible for mentoring less experienced technicians, fostering a positive work environment, and helping facilitate lab operation.
About the Role
This person performs a primary role in testing of new products for compliance with company design and certification standards and is responsible for design validation testing of Neptune products. In addition, this individual will automate routine tests as necessary, design/build custom fixtures, oversee equipment maintenance, perform root cause investigation, and other duties assigned by the Electronics Lab Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Create and perform automated testing of electronic products and software for function validation, performance characterization, and failure mode identification.
- Design test circuits and fixtures and write LabVIEW programs as needed to automate testing.
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits, systems, and test fixtures.
- Create and maintain documentation of product material lists, parts drawings, and other project data.
- Mentor/train less experienced technicians.
Qualifications
- Education: 2-year Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or Avionics or equivalent military training.
- Related Experience: 7+ years minimum as a Technician.
Required Skills
- Time management, self-starter, ability to multi-task, excellent verbal/written communication.
- Advanced soldering/de-soldering at the component level.
- Advanced computer skills, some programming proficiency (LabVIEW preferred).
- Windows/Linux Command Line/Terminal familiarity.
- Use of electronic test equipment including Oscilloscope/Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, following test procedures, and test automation.
- RF background a plus.
