About the role

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Electronic Document Technician to support KITS and our government customer in Silver Spring, MD. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the EDR team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline EDR processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage the lifecycle of electronic documents, ensuring proper indexing, storage, retrieval, and disposal in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and administer electronic document management systems, databases, and related software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions to meet organizational needs. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on electronic document management systems and procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports on EDR operations and activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the Computer Science or Information Management field.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance is required.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in electronic document management systems, databases, and related software applications.
  • Knowledge of records management principles, practices, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze and streamline processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and security.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in a government or regulated industry environment.
  • Knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based document management solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience with process automation and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Records Information Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
