Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all existing electrical systems and equipment in production areas.
- Install power supply and wiring for newly installed machines and equipment.
- Operate electrical and mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Prepare maintenance reports, equipment check lists, and documented inspections as required.
- Maintain strict documentation of all plant electrical circuitry.
- Provide general lead electrician support.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings.
- Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss issues with other facility personnel.
- Replace or repair faulty electrical components of machines.
- Calibrate and adjust all electrical/electronic equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Research and order parts to ensure compliance with new codes.
- Maintain proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work.
- Indirectly supervise other electricians in the plant.
Requirements
- An accredited degree or certificate from an accredited college in the electrical field.
- At least 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
- The ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for night or weekend shifts.
- A commitment to joining the United Steelworkers (USW) Union upon hiring.
- A stable work history, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow.
- A "Can Do" attitude with a proven track record of reliability.
- The ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
