Senior Electrical Superintendent - OH

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all MEP field operations on education and healthcare projects from mobilization through commissioning and turnover
• Oversee installation and commissioning of high-voltage and medium-voltage systems, including substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, and power distribution
• Provide hands-on supervision of low-voltage systems, including BMS, EPMS, security, fire alarm, and structured cabling
• Cook up close with MEP trade partners, commissioning agents, inspectors, engineers, and client representatives
• Manage multiple electrical & mechanical superintendents, foremen, and large union/non-union workforces
• Drive strict adherence to safety, quality control, QA/QC, and mission-critical best practices
• Maintain schedule compliance through lookahead planning, manpower forecasting, and material coordination
• Act as the primary electrical point of contact on site for owners, GCs, and AHJs

Required Experience & Background

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on local school, university, K-12 and education construction project types
• Demonstrated experience delivering low-voltage system installations (BMS, EPMS, security, FA, structured cabling)
• Deep understanding of power distribution, redundancy, commissioning, and turnover requirements
• Experience working alongside or coordinating full MEP scopes strongly preferred
• Ability to manage large crews across multiple buildings or phases
• Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, BIM/VDC platforms
• Willingness to work in Chicago
