About the role
PureGrid Electrical is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager with a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. - Design-Build Collaboration: Partner closely with General Contracting (GC) project managers, in-house engineers, and owners to define scope, evaluate constructibility, and optimize electrical system designs.
- Financial Management: Drive profitability by managing project budgets, approving major equipment and material procurement (switchgear, transformers, etc.), forecasting cash flow, and rigorously negotiating change orders.
- Field Liaison & Support: Work with the Field Operations Manager and on-site General Superintendents to ensure clear project plans are cleanly executed, tracking daily trade productivity and site logistics.
- Client & Partner Relations: Serve as the primary, highly responsive communication bridge between PureGrid and major general contractors like ARCO/Murray, ensuring alignment across fast-track nationwide portfolios.
- Schedule & Risk Management: Utilize advanced scheduling tools to proactively identify utility interconnection bottlenecks, long-lead equipment delays, or sequencing issues before they hit the critical path.
Requirements
- Experience: 8–12+ years of dedicated Project Management experience within the commercial or industrial electrical subcontracting space. Proven track record managing fast-track, design-build projects is highly preferred.
- Technical Background: A deep, comprehensive understanding of medium-to-heavy industrial electrical systems, including major equipment power distribution, high/medium-voltage substations, data centers, or complex logistics/manufacturing facilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical business field is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level capability with modern construction management software; extensive hands-on experience with Procore and Bluebeam is required.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptionally strong written, verbal, and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem-solving and a knack for building trust with sophisticated GC partners.
- Travel & Location: Ability to travel as required to support nationwide projects during critical phases (turnover, major utility cut-overs, commissioning).
