Responsibilities

  • Executing common laboratory functions such as support of testing, troubleshooting, coordination, and/or performance of periodic facility tests and preventative maintenance required to support a fully capable laboratory.
  • Executing work packages required to maintain and modernize the lab's test systems and test articles.
  • Ensuring that work packages are performed safely and in compliance with company and Program requirements.
  • Managing the calibration of test equipment and inventories of parts and equipment.
  • Developing less senior personnel in the organization.

Requirements

  • Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Journeymans Papers in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Qualification as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator (or commercial nuclear equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with control systems and electronic components. Experience using laboratory test setups to develop and qualify control systems. Strong fabrication skills, including soldering, wiring, assembling connectors, working confidently with hand tools, and reading schematics and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with NR Program or commercial operational practices, including planning and performing electrical work. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.
