Senior Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction

Location: Hampstead, MD Work Mode: On-site Employment Type: Full-Time Work Authorization: US Citizen / Green Card Only Experience: 5+ years Job Description We are hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator for a commercial electrical contracting company in Hampstead, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on commercial electrical estimating experience, including estimating complex or large-scale electrical construction projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for commercial electrical projects.Review electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.Perform material and labor quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.Analyze labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, exclusions, and project risks.Develop pricing and support final bid submissions.Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams.Maintain accurate estimating documentation.Ensure estimates comply with NEC and applicable electrical requirements.Manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.Provide guidance or mentorship to junior estimators when required. Required Qualifications 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.Strong commercial electrical construction estimating background.Experience estimating large-scale or complex commercial projects.Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and NEC.Experience with fire alarm systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.Experience with electrical estimating software.Strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills.Strong cost analysis and bid preparation experience.Ability to identify scope gaps, risks, exclusions, and discrepancies Skills: commercial construction,electrical estimating,construction,cost analysis,projects,project,authorization,specifications,alarm systems,estimates
