Senior Electrical Estimator

Bring Precision to Power. At M-W Electric Inc., our estimators are key drivers of our success. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to manage high-profile bids for complex commercial, industrial, and government projects across North and South Carolina.

Leverage modern estimating tools and strong vendor relationships to build highly competitive, profitable bids for projects ranging from wastewater treatment facilities to massive generator installations. We invest in technology, professional growth, and long-term careers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates, comprehensive takeoffs, and polished bid proposals using Accubid or similar software.
• Thoroughly review drawings, specifications, blueprints, and one-line diagrams to accurately identify project scope and risk.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities to improve bid competitiveness and profit margins.
• Source and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing while building and maintaining strong industry relationships.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and field leadership to track bid outcomes and performance metrics.
• Act as a leader in the office by supporting, training, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of dedicated electrical construction or estimating experience.
• Proven experience with Accubid or comparable electrical estimating platforms.
• Strong, comprehensive understanding of the NEC, as well as commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Proven ability to accurately read and interpret complex construction plans and one-line diagrams.
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven with exceptional communication skills.
• Associate’s degree preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• NC Electrical License highly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Pay

$60,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience) with a year-end bonus. Weekly pay cycle.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday – Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
