Senior Electrical Engineer (FPGA / Digital Hardware)

Syracuse, New York | $100,000 to $136,000 per year | On-site This role is with a growing sensing technology manufacturer that designs equipment for U.S. Department of Defense programs, based in the Syracuse, New York area. The company builds digital hardware, FPGA-based systems, and high-speed electronics for next-generation sensing products, and this engineer will lead hardware design work within a multidisciplinary engineering team across the full product development lifecycle. What You'll Do Lead the design and development of digital hardware for next-generation productsDesign multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activitiesArchitect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platformsDesign high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architecturesPerform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production supportWrite Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflowsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field5+ years of digital hardware design experienceExperience designing analog and digital circuits, including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfacesHands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipmentExperience with VHDL and/or VerilogU.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with Altium DesignerExperience with Xilinx VivadoExperience with RF systems or software defined radio (SDR)Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and LinuxExperience leading design reviews or providing technical leadership on hardware projects Compensation And Benefits $100,000 to $136,000 per year, based on experienceStock optionsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
