About the role
We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to use your vast experience in the industry and apply it to solving today's challenges. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
- Prepare load analysis for different stages of design
- Oversee the preparation of drawings detailing system design
- Prepare basis of design reports
- Prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms
- Design grounding and lightning protection
- Design redundant electrical systems
- Mitigate hazardous area concerns
- Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building
- Coordinate with engineers and architects of other disciplines
- Facilitate construction administration
- Travel in support of project designs to visit with clients and develop an understanding of their needs as part of a broader design team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, or ability to obtain within 6 months from hire
- United States Citizenship
- At least 5 years of experience working in a corporate engineering environment in an electrical engineering capacity
- Strong mentorship focus to develop future engineers
- Strong technical focus in the Architectural Engineering space
- Proficiency in Revit and 3D CADD
Qualifications
- Exposure to medium voltage designs
- Federal security clearance
- Exposure to federal design standards such as the Unified Facilities Criteria, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Defense, and adjacent sectors
- An appreciation for travel in support of projects and sales pursuits as a subject matter expert

Pay
Base salary range: $120,000.00 to $200,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
