Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
- Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
- Stir up client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
- Take charge of the electrical lead on many projects
- Conduct reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Organize schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines
- Manage the workload through the entire project development to ensure documents are completed on time
- Keep track of the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure the work is completed within the agreed-upon schedule
- Lead the way for other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Expertise in electrical design for water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
