Senior Electrical Engineer
About the role
We'll count on you to coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development.
Establish client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems.
Assume the electrical lead on many projects.
Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines.
Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule.
Work with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed.
Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Cook up the team's electrical expertise to ensure smooth project execution.
- Build strong relationships with clients to secure new business opportunities.
- Take charge of electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive designs.
- Manage project finances and resources to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Guide junior staff members to enhance their skills and contribute to the team's success.
- Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Project Manager and Regional Controller.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- Expertise in electrical design for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
Qualifications

Skills
- Strong knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.
- Extensive computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
