Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience in the design of complex electrical products and equipment.
- Established background in Robotics or Mechatronic Systems.
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams of hardware and software engineers.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency with Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ECO’s.
- Significant experience with the hardware product development process.
Responsibilities
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to design new robotic industrial automation from concept to production.
- Improve and maintain existing product designs.
- Design industrial control panels and complex electrical systems, including layouts, schematics, and documentation for fabrication.
- Write requirements and functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Develop field support hardware diagnostics tools and training to resolve issues in high complexity FC system installations.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations to ensure smooth production transitions.
- Deep-dive into electronics issues, optimize configurations, and develop tests to verify functionality.
- Travel to vendors, installation sites, and manufacturing partners to maintain quality standards.
