About the role

This position has flexibility to be physically located out of one of our sites that are located in Bedminster, NJ, Scottsdale, AZ, or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Technical Resource: Act as the team's escalation point for complex or ambiguous engineering challenges — from unusual fault conditions and non-standard equipment integration to design scenarios that require first-principles analysis.
  • Develop Electrical Drawing Packages: Collaborate with other team members to create comprehensive electrical drawing packages for PV and Energy storage projects from Initial design through Issue For Construction (IFC).
  • Champion Technical Excellence: Bring a critical and experienced eye to engineering deliverables, actively strengthening deliverables in collaboration with the team. Use your depth of knowledge to identify what others might miss and drive solutions that raise the bar without sacrificing schedule.
  • Contract Scope of Work: Review and author contract scopes of work, providing technical input to accurately define deliverables, boundaries of responsibility, and project requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, design standards, and documentation practices; develop and implement repeatable processes that increase team efficiency and deliverable quality.
  • Cost/Benefit Analyses: Perform analyses for various installation architectures, grounding schemes, and major equipment.
  • Client and Stakeholder Interface: Engage with clients and other stakeholders to support the design and delivery of power plants. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity with a passion to understand the “why” behind problems and designs.
  • Travel: Travel up to 25% to job sites and office locations as required.

Qualifications

  • Applied knowledge of Electrical Codes and Standards
  • Experience in Power Infrastructure Design

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • PE licensure or path to licensure within 2 years
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and professional growth, staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Experience identifying and pursuing innovative solutions that create value for customers, while acting with integrity and stewardship

Pay

$120,000 - $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
