About the role

Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an on-site client support position in Port Arthur, TX. The position offers a 9/80 schedule in the office/field, with minimal travel anticipated.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
  • Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, preventative and predictive maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
  • Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
  • Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
  • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Provide various reports as needed.
  • Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation for the company.
  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Affords assistance to other departments and administrative personnel as necessary.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the industry required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent electrical engineering required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel required.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and identify and rank business and safety risks.
  • Visible leadership at a supported asset base.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Security Clearance Requirements: Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Experience in the chemical or oil/energy industry preferred.
