Senior Electrical Engineer
About the role
CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Consulting Engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers and other consultants/design team members to design the electrical aspects of energy efficient buildings for various clients as well as complex infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Design the electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems, for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects.
- Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
- Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines.
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
- Research and analyze client design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
Requirements
- A strong and innovative technical background in Electrical Engineering.
- A PE License required.
- Project Management experience.
- Interfacing with clients.
- Construction Administration and Submittals.
- Power Distribution and Lighting Systems experience.
- Renewable Energy Systems experience.
- AutoCAD & REVIT proficiency.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in Infrastructure Design.
- Leadership and self-motivation.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $220,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
Schedule
This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Location
The position is located in Lafayette, CA.
