About the role

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Consulting Engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers and other consultants/design team members to design the electrical aspects of energy efficient buildings for various clients as well as complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design the electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems, for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects.
  • Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
  • Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines.
  • Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
  • Research and analyze client design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.

Requirements

  • A strong and innovative technical background in Electrical Engineering.
  • A PE License required.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Interfacing with clients.
  • Construction Administration and Submittals.
  • Power Distribution and Lighting Systems experience.
  • Renewable Energy Systems experience.
  • AutoCAD & REVIT proficiency.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in Infrastructure Design.
  • Leadership and self-motivation.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, innovative, and energetic team environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $220,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.

Schedule

This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

Location

The position is located in Lafayette, CA.
