About the Role
We are currently seeking a resourceful, self-motivated, and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with the ability to provide high-level engineering services for a broad range of clientele. Applications for this position are primarily sought for Pittsburgh, PA; Camp Hill, PA; Baltimore, MD; and Annapolis, MD but are also being accepted for B&L’s other office locations in New York. Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10-15+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects.
- Acute analytical skills and the capability to design and manage small to large projects.
- Comprehensive technical background across all facets of electrical engineering related to building and power distribution systems, including:
- Electrical service entrances
- Medium voltage power equipment
- Power distribution
- Electrical studies
- Emergency power
- Lighting design
- Alarm systems
- Telecommunications
- Industrial process-related electrical systems
- Excellent communication and writing skills for synergistic interaction with technical clients and coworkers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
- Strong working knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE and NFPA, as well as state building codes.
- Broad familiarity with the work of other project team members, including architects and structural, mechanical, and civil engineers, to enable effective, integrated, and well-coordinated project design solutions.
- Desired soft skills include interfacing with internal and external clients, mentoring younger staff, and assisting with proposal development.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY, PA, or MD (or eligibility to obtain) is desired.
- Additional industry certifications, such as Certified Energy Manager or LEED AP, are considered a plus.
Pay
Estimated pay range: $115,000 - $145,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
