Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Lead the electrical engineering discipline at a fast-growing, service-disabled veteran-owned firm delivering mission-critical infrastructure for government and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design (50%): Power distribution, lighting, low-voltage, and telecom systems for healthcare and commercial projects. Load analysis, voltage drop, arc flash, short-circuit and coordination studies, the full stack.
• Translate SOWs into construction-ready drawings and specs, then support field observations and RFI responses through closeout.
• Discipline leadership (50%): Mentor and manage up to 8 engineers and EITs. Set workload priorities, run performance reviews, build structured growth plans, and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Contribute to internal standards and process improvement.

Requirements

• Active PE license + BS in Electrical Engineering
• 9+ years of MEP design experience (commercial and/or government)
• Deep fluency in NEC, NFPA codes, and applicable standards
• Federal project experience (DoD, VA) a plus, strong commercial background also considered
• U.S. citizenship required; security clearance eligibility preferred
