Senior Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Perform computer-aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for our client’s advanced facilities.
• Create layouts, sketches, 2D/3D modeling, and electronic document files using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Deliver complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads.
• Form the core of our electrical delivery team.
• Develop staffing plans based on deliverables to be produced and the project schedule.
• Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks.
• Mentor subordinates and provide guidance to less experienced designer/drafters.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Electrical design utilizing 3-D modeling / drafting.
• At least 5 years of design experience with Revit.
• At least 5 years of experience as a BIM lead.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical design requirements.
• Experience with semiconductor, or mission critical design.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in relevant field.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $80,600.00 to $148,610.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked.

Schedule

Employees have access to a hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.
