SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (PCB)

The Marvin Group is a strategic partner for global alternate mission equipment and sustainment, specializing in military aerospace and vehicle systems. Based in Southern California near Los Angeles International Airport, the group includes Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), and Marvin Land Systems (MLS), serving defense contractors and the Department of Defense for over 60 years.

About the role

This 100% onsite position involves designing and developing electrical-related assemblies for Marvin Land Systems products, adhering to military specifications. The role requires collaboration with other departments to ensure timely and budget-compliant project execution while supporting day-to-day engineering efforts for profitability and contract effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design and test AC and DC circuits by performing detailed calculations and/or circuit analysis to meet performance requirements and manufacturing cost targets.
• Use schematic capture and PCB design applications tools competently.
• Create test plans and test bench designs to support product acceptance testing.
• Work alongside technicians and assemblers.
• Maintain respect, integrity, and commitment to company values, vision, and mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10–15 years of electrical design experience in product development under military specifications.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Strong attention to detail, decision-making ability, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
• Technical writing skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers.
• Competency in company procedures and processes as identified in the training matrix.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must meet export control compliance requirements; all applicants must be “U.S. persons” under ITAR (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee).

Pay

Salary Range: $130,000 – $170,000 (based on skills, education, and experience).
