Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Dulles, VA to lead high-impact data center projects. In this hybrid role, you will oversee project design, guide junior engineers, and deliver robust electrical systems for critical infrastructure. You will collaborate directly with cross-functional teams to drive innovative engineering solutions from concept through completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design and produce complex preliminary layouts for mission-critical data center projects
• Perform complex engineering calculations, equipment selection, and sizing to ensure optimal system performance
• Supervise and mentor a team of 2-3 junior engineers in electrical design and documentation production
• Represent the firm at project design meetings and conduct on-site inspections to resolve construction issues

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree (required)

Skills

• Electrical Engineering (8 years of experience preferred)

Pay & Schedule

• Salary: $135,000 - $160,000 per year
• Work hours: 8am to 4pm
• Location: Sterling, Virginia
