About the role

Cummings Electrical is seeking a Senior Electrical Account Manager in Houston, TX to lead a team of service electricians. The SAM will oversee, guide, and manage the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers, and employees, ensuring efficient coordination and planning to deliver consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely results for multiple projects. This position promotes workplace health and safety, environmental stewardship, and a strong safety culture while working closely with the company’s management team in a decision-support capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of up to 20 electricians, monitoring performance, motivating staff, and encouraging teamwork to meet productivity targets.
  • Oversee and coordinate projects to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and promote environmental stewardship.
  • Work closely with the management team to support decision-making processes.
  • Manage projects involving electrical installation of equipment for high-profile projects (preferred).
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Electrical/Power Systems such as UPS, Switchgear, Generators, and PDUs.
  • Maintain strong customer service focus and solid communication skills (oral and written).
  • Utilize computer tools such as Microsoft Suite and MS Project.
  • Establish clear organizational goals and employee roles while ensuring departmental goals align with company priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or previous work as a Licensed Electrician/Supervisor.
  • Experience managing projects and leading teams in electrical construction.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and ability to mitigate hazards on the job.
  • Commitment to high-quality work, attention to detail, and fostering similar standards in others.
