Senior eDiscovery Project Manager

About the Role
A leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the eDiscovery space. This role focuses on administering and managing casework throughout the EDRM, with an emphasis on Relativity. The team takes a consultative approach, requiring extensive knowledge of the full EDRM, legal case management, and the litigation lifecycle. Candidates with a technical understanding of relational databases or experience developing custom scripts will be prioritized.
This position involves collaboration with internal and external teams, including fellow Project Managers, business development, attorneys, government representatives, and other legal staff.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all departments to complete complex projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Independently manage numerous concurrent eDiscovery and litigation projects within the Relativity document review platform, covering processing through review and production, including:
- Managing users, groups, permissions, fields, choices, layouts, views, dashboards, searches, STRs, batch sets, dtSearch indexes, processing, imaging, productions, custom objects, event handlers, ARM, structured analytics, conceptual analytics, and active learning.
- Administering applications, scripts, agents, queues, and various components of Relativity infrastructure.
- Provide reporting to case administrators on workspace metrics, user activity, or other document-based metrics.
- Perform quality checks and detailed analysis on work products prior to document production or additional review levels.
- Demonstrate expertise in both Relativity Server and RelativityOne.
- Proactively consult with clients to recommend and develop custom workflows tailored to case-specific needs across the full EDRM.
- Facilitate data collections, ECA workflows, data reuse and repository workflows, document reviews, and productions using industry-standard processes.
- Work with traditional data sources (e.g., email) and modern data sources (e.g., cloud storage, mobile devices, short message data).
- Develop custom innovations and provide engineering support to the business development team.
- Assist junior team members by serving as an escalation point, providing training, and offering additional support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Relativity administrator experience with expertise in the litigation support industry, including familiarity with product evolution and changing dynamics.
- Relativity Certified Administrator certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including attorneys and client support staff.
- Expertise in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
- Knowledge of the litigation lifecycle or experience managing litigations.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Superior organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines, and troubleshoot applications.
Preferred Skills
- Relativity Specialist certifications, including Relativity Expert/Master status.
- Experience with basic scripting in XML, Java, or HTML.
Pay
Salary range: $125,000 – $150,000 per year.
