Senior EDI Analyst

About the role

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Senior EDI Analyst with a healthcare client in Deerfield, IL. This is a 3‑month contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support the development of key EDI initiatives
• Identify and implement key process improvements and technical skill development opportunities
• Ensure data standards are HIPAA, DSCSA and industry compliant and adhere to privacy and security policies
• Collaborate with IT business partners, suppliers, and customers on key business initiatives and projects, and liaise with key stakeholders
• Support the development, testing, and deployment of the new revenue management system
• Lead/support key initiatives, customer onboarding, and identify key process improvements and deploy solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5‑7 years experience in EDI, with at least 1 year of customer‑service/customer‑facing experience
• Strong knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, XML/UBL, and HTML
• Experience with EDI software and EDI mapping tools
• Strong understanding of health‑care data exchange and compliance with regulations such as DSCSA, HIPAA, and GS1
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex issues
• Strong leadership and project management skills, able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks and deadlines

Skills

• Must‑have (non‑negotiable): Independent/responsible (especially for remote work), strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, team player/works well, service mindset
• Nice to have: UBL/XML knowledge/experience, EDIFACT

Pay

$20.00 – $24.99 per hour; W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits.

Schedule

Normal business hours Monday‑Friday. Initial training: onsite in Deerfield 5 days a week for 3‑6 weeks (depending on ramp‑up). After training: hybrid model – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
