Senior Economist, Indicators
Founded in 1916, The Conference Board is the member-driven think tank that delivers trusted insights for what’s ahead. Our agenda is to help leaders navigate the biggest issues facing business and better serve society through innovative, fact-based research and consensus-driven policy statements.
About the role
Based in the New York City office, the Senior Economist, Indicators will lead the Indicators team and produce insights on multinational economic themes using proprietary TCB data. The role involves managing the ideation and production of measures for global, regional, and country business cycles, as well as confidence measures for consumers and business executives. Responsibilities include supporting the production, analysis, development, and marketing of the US CEO and Consumer Confidence Surveys, collaborating with other senior economists on data products, and contributing to written insights on themes such as GDP growth, trade, supply chains, inflation, and monetary/fiscal policy.
The role also involves frequent participation in websites, podcasts, briefings, and convenings for members and non-members, as well as supporting the Chief Economist’s responsibilities, including leading the Global Forecast Meeting. The Senior Economist will manage a team of 4 to 7 direct and indirect reports and serve as a member of the Chief Economist’s core leadership team.
