Senior E&I Construction Manager

Scope of the Position
You are responsible for the implementation, construction, and integration of complete industrial systems, including:
- Automation & Control Systems such as DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC systems, SCADA, MES interfaces, BMS (Building Management Systems), EMS (Environmental Monitoring Systems), historian systems, batch control systems, and industrial networking & fiber optics.
- Safety & Critical Systems, such as: ESD (Emergency Shutdown Systems), SIS/SIL systems, Fire & Gas Systems (FGS), Fire Detection Systems (FDS), Gas Detection Systems (GDS), BMS (Burner Management Systems), Access control & CCTV, and Critical alarm systems.
- Pharma & Life Sciences Systems, such as: Clean utility systems, WFI (Water for Injection), Pure Steam, Clean Steam, CIP/SIP systems, HVAC controls, Cleanroom automation, Environmental monitoring, Sterile process installations, Validation-ready systems, and GMP-compliant installations.
- Process & Utility Systems such as: UOP process package integrations, Package units & skids, Analyzer systems, Utility plants, HVAC systems, Heat tracing, Grounding & lightning protection, MCCs & switchgear, and HV/MV/LV distribution.
Your Responsibilities
EPC / EPCM Construction Management
- Full coordination of E&I construction works within EPC and EPCM projects
- Leading multidisciplinary construction teams
- Organizing daily site activities and construction meetings
- Coinciding between engineering, procurement, QA/QC, CQV, commissioning, operations, vendors, and subcontractors
- Interface management between different disciplines and contractors
- Performing constructability reviews together with engineering teams
- Overseeing planning, quality, safety, and budget
E&I Installation & Integration
- Coordinating: cable routes, cable pulling, terminations, instrumentation installations, analyzers, control panels, MCCs, switchgear, package units, process skids, cleanroom controls, HVAC automation, utility systems, DCS/PLC infrastructure, and telecom and network systems.
- Verifying execution according to: P&IDs, loop diagrams, cable schedules, hook-up drawings, I/O lists, cause & effect matrices, GMP guidelines, GAMP standards, IEC/ATEX norms, and ISPE guidelines.
Pharma & Life Sciences Compliance
- Ensuring GMP-compliant execution
- Collaborating with QA/QC and CQV teams
- Supporting FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ support, commissioning, qualification activities, and validation readiness
- Verifying documentation such as turnover packages, test records, calibration dossiers, redlines & as-builts, and traceability documents
Commissioning, Qualification & Startup
- Supporting: loop checks, pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, hot commissioning, energization, SAT/FAT, integrated system testing, startup support, and qualification support.
- Verifying instrument calibrations, interlocks, permissives, alarms, trip tests, cause & effect logic, and PLC/DCS functionalities
HSE & Quality
- Responsible for compliance with HSE procedures, GMP procedures, cleanroom codes of conduct, permit-to-work systems, ATEX regulations, and site safety procedures
- Organizing toolbox meetings and safety walks
- Following up on QA/QC inspections
- Monitoring quality standards within regulated environments
Your Profile
- Education: Bachelor or Master in Electromechanics, Electricity, Automation, or equivalent through experience.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience within industrial E&I projects, minimum 5 years of experience in a leading construction role, strong experience within pharma, life sciences, biotech, chemicals, petrochemicals, and EPC/EPCM projects, experience with GMP environments, cleanrooms, brownfield & greenfield projects, commissioning, and qualification.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of DCS / PLC / SCADA, BMS / EMS systems, GMP & GAMP, ISPE guidelines, clean utilities, HVAC automation, FDS / GDS / FGS, SIS / SIL / ESD, BMS systems, UOP package integrations, analyzers, industrial networks, HV/MV/LV systems, commissioning & startup.
