Senior Driller
About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Driller to support our environmental and geotechnical drilling programs in Long Island and Eastern New York. This full-time position requires experience with soil sampling, installation of various size groundwater monitoring and recovery wells and geotechnical drilling.
Responsibilities
- Operation of truck or track mounted drill rig or Geoprobe
- Routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs of tooling and equipment
- Other non-drilling related technical or mechanical tasks such as treatment system installation and maintenance activities or groundwater sampling
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as lead driller on truck or track-mounted rotary drill rig
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) with clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training required
- Ability to travel
- OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety training are preferred but not required
- Ability to weld a plus
- Experience with operation of heavy equipment (e.g., excavator, bulldozer, etc.) a plus
Salary Range
Salary Range: $30 - $40 per hour
